Set up Zapline on your Apple TV

About 5 minutes. Zapline is the M3U and IPTV player for the playlist you already have. It comes with no channels.

  1. Open the App StoreOn your Apple TV.
  2. Search for Zapline
  3. Choose Get
  4. Choose Open

Add your playlist

  1. Create a profile

    Type a name and choose Create Profile.

    Each profile keeps its own playlists and favorites.

  2. Add your playlist

    • Playlist link: an M3U or get.php address.
    • Xtream login: a server, username and password.
    • MAC portal: a portal address and MAC address.

    Long address? When the keyboard opens, you can type on your iPhone instead.

Watch

  1. Live TV

    1. 1The menu.

  2. Guide

    Choose Guide in the menu.

    Use the arrows to move through time, and Now to come back. Choose a programme for its details.

  3. Movies and series

    Sort and filter at the top, then choose a poster.

    Press and hold a poster to add it to your favorites.

  4. Play it

    Choose Play, or Add to Favorites to keep it.

  5. While you watch

    Click to show the bar, and swipe to skip.

Your remote

Yours may look a little different. The controls do the same thing.

Choose Account in the menu to switch playlists, add one, or change settings.

I can't find Zapline in the App Store

Zapline isn't in the App Store yet. Get an email when it is.

My playlist won't load
  • Server address: include the port, like example.com:8080.
  • Link: it must start with http:// or https://. If it opens a web page in a browser, it isn't a playlist.
  • Ask your provider if the subscription is active and under its device limit.
A channel won't start or keeps stopping

Close Zapline on any other device: many subscriptions allow one connection at a time. Your connections in use are listed with your playlist.

The guide is empty

It's nearly always a mismatch on the provider's side. Here's how to fix it.

Can I add a playlist file?

Not on Apple TV. Use a link, an Xtream login or a MAC portal.
